Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his maiden title for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has had a challenging season, winning just one match at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serve in specific - led to him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-term trainer Cervara.
Now training with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set triumph over challenger Moutet.
This represents his first trophy after the Rome competition and first on a hard surface after that period of that year.
The win also indicates the Russian has won 21 victories at twenty-one various tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a title is really nice," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter Victoria, because the first title I got when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, featuring in that event previously this season.
The player's retrieving strategy and recurring emotional displays on the tennis court had led observers to wonder if his skill to play at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the player has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, striving to come to the net and perform assertively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult opponent, winning 4 of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged breaks in the middle set before the challenger, bidding for his initial professional title, took control to force a final set.
Moutet defended four early-game opportunities in a competitive third set before the Russian broke to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, he earned the title with a rally at the net, with his opponent unable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
