I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
